The split context and user-facing Riso description make the intended catalogue addition clear. Could you add a brief Why, a checked Surface area section, and a Validation section so review and release verification have the full context? Related: #8135 is the source split and #8558 is its Terracotta sibling.

@mrcfps the riso design-system split is ready for review at head ad2b8e3 — CI fully green, no threads. @lefarcen's body asks are done (Why / Surface area / Validation now in the PR body, including the runwayml/tesla neighbor-restore note). Split from #8135 per product sign-off — riso design system (5 of 6). The source PR bundled 10 skills, 2 design systems, and a method fold-in; each bundled system needs its own product decision. This PR is independently reviewable and landable.
Why
The bundled catalogue had no warm print-shop aesthetic — playful, high-contrast, two-ink design work defaulted to neutral SaaS chrome. Riso adds a risograph system (warm paper, rose interaction accent, federal-blue structure) so joyful/creative artifacts have a native starting point, with contrast repaired to the AA contract before shipping (the first version failed at 3.60:1).
What users will see
A new Riso card in the Design Systems catalogue and picker: playful two-color risograph aesthetic — warm paper canvas (
#fdf6ec), deep rose interaction accent (#c2187b, white text 5.66:1), federal-blue structure (#2c40a7), Space Grotesk + Overpass Mono, offset print-shadows and pink-glow elevation. All 8 documented fixture text pairs meet WCAG AA (4.5:1), pinned by a regression test. Picker summaries render localized in all 17 locale bundles (e.g. JA), falling back to English only for genuinely untranslated systems.Example: picking Riso for a landing page yields the warm-paper + two-ink system (pink CTAs/links, blue headings, grain texture) instead of the default system styling.
