Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft in Hyderabad, and a backend engineer at heart. I like the unglamorous parts: distributed systems, performance, clean APIs, and the plumbing that keeps things running when nobody is watching.
Right now that means building backend systems for Text-to-Speech, giving neural voices to Indic locales. Before this I shipped machine translation models into production. The domain keeps changing, the backend problems stay delightfully the same.
When I am not writing services, I am usually writing about them, fuelled by an unreasonable amount of coffee β.

- How I track my expenses How I finally track my expenses without the usual laziness - a simple Excel-based system that does the job without fancy software.
- Splitwise Automation to send expense updates A Side-Project-Sunday build that automates Splitwise to total my monthly expenses across the app using its API and a bit of Python.
- Let's discuss commit messages Why good commit messages matter, and a practical structure for writing them so you and your team can understand changes months later.
- Logging best practices that I follow Practical logging best practices from years as a backend developer β log levels, what to record, and rules for writing useful log statements.
- How-to: Python Paramiko A how-to guide for using the Python Paramiko library.
