sn-cli 0.5.3 Packaging - the homebrew cask no longer emits Homebrew's deprecated postflight stanza, which warned on every brew install, upgrade and update. It now uses postflight_steps, injected via goreleaser's custom_block since goreleaser 2.18.1 still emits postflight itself. No code changes since 0.5.2; the binaries behave identically.
sn-cli 0.5.2
Installation
- added install.sh, so sn can be installed in one line:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jonhadfield/sn-cli/main/install.sh | sh
It picks the archive matching the platform, verifies it against the
published checksums before unpacking, and installs to /usr/local/bin.
BIN_DIR and VERSION override the destination and the release. sudo is
used only for the final install step, and only when the destination is
not already writable.
No code changes since 0.5.1; the binaries behave identically.
sn-cli 0.5.1 Fixes - an unknown subcommand showed the application's help rather than the help for the command being used, so `sn get badsub` listed the top-level commands instead of what `get` accepts. It now shows the relevant command's options at any depth. An unknown command at the top level still shows the application help.
sn-cli 0.5.0 Features - sn editor commands to manage the default note editor - brew install jonhadfield/tap/sn-cli Fixes - encrypted backups could never be restored: the manifest was sealed but parsed without decryption. Manifest is now stored in the clear and carries the key-derivation parameters (format 2.0). - backup key derivation used a salt shared by every backup; each backup now gets a random salt, and PBKDF2 goes from 100,000 to 600,000 iterations. - the internal/sncli test package had never compiled, so none of its tests ran. - the Windows CI job was gated on the wrong condition and never ran. Maintenance - all dependencies updated, resolving the open Dependabot alerts - migrated off the deprecated generative-ai-go to google.golang.org/genai - Go 1.26 - live-server tests are now opt-in via SN_INTEGRATION_TESTS
