π’ Two profiles, one engineer: this one's my personal engineering space - for my SUSE enterprise commits and internal engineering work, visit @sushant-suse
I'm a Technical Engineer at SUSE, working across Kubernetes-native infrastructure, developer tooling, and CI/CD automation - currently contributing to Longhorn, CNCF's cloud-native distributed storage project, and building internal platform tooling across the SUSE engineering ecosystem.
- π Currently: deepening Kubernetes controller/reconciliation internals, Go, and Longhorn's core architecture - volumes, replicas, CSI, snapshot/backup lifecycle - alongside ongoing contributions to DocBuild, a Python CLI for documentation build/validation across the SUSE ecosystem.
- π οΈ Built & shipped: Transpiler-Pro (now under the openSUSE org) and CI/CD automation via GitHub Actions, including a Vale-based style-validation workflow.
- π§ Exploring: LLM + vector-retrieval systems for technical documentation search.
- π Before SUSE: Associate Engineer at PwC India - Python/SQL data pipelines, PySpark validation, Azure pipelines, and Power BI analytics across multiple client engagements.
Languages : Python, Go, JavaScript, SQL, C/C++
Cloud & Platform : Kubernetes (CRDs / Controllers / Reconciliation), Docker, Linux, AWS, GitHub Actions (CI/CD)
Cloud-Native : CNCF ecosystem, Longhorn, distributed storage systems
Dev Tooling : Typer CLI, PyTest, Vale, Pandoc, spaCy, Asciidoctor / Antora
Data & Backend : REST APIs, FastAPI, Flask, Snowflake, Azure Pipelines, NumPy, Pandas
Databases : MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
π» Longhorn - CNCF Cloud-Native Distributed Storage
Contributing to Longhorn, a CNCF Kubernetes-native distributed block storage system - working across Longhorn Manager, CLI, and core repositories while building practical depth in CRDs, controllers, reconciliation, CSI, volumes, replicas, snapshots, and backup/restore.

π οΈ Transpiler-Pro - Documentation Migration Pipeline (sole developer)
Designed and built an end-to-end Markdown/MDX β AsciiDoc migration pipeline for SUSE documentation, using a Shield β Convert β Repair β Audit architecture: structural conversion, NLP-based linguistic repair (spaCy), Antora cross-reference routing, and content-parity auditing. Owned architecture, implementation, testing, CI/CD, and deployment end-to-end - later adopted from a personal repository into the openSUSE GitHub organization.
Stack: Python, spaCy, Pandoc, Vale, Typer, PyTest, GitHub Actions
π DocBuild - Documentation Build & Validation CLI
Contributing to a Python CLI that automates Markdown/AsciiDoc/XML validation and build workflows across the openSUSE documentation ecosystem - raising and reviewing PRs, fixing issues, and improving CI reliability.
Stack: Python, Typer CLI, PyTest, GitHub Actions
Beyond planned project work, I regularly identify repetitive or error-prone steps in day-to-day documentation and engineering workflows and build automation to fix them - using GitHub Actions, Git hooks (pre-commit, post-commit), and CI pipeline checks - reducing manual effort and catching issues before they reach production.
Stack: Python, GitHub Actions, Git hooks, CI/CD
