Codex gives Responses Lite models a standalone
web.runtool rather than hostedweb_search, but the generatedopenai-proxyprovider did not advertise support for it. As a result, models such asgpt-5.6-terrahad no search tool even with hosted web enabled.supports_standalone_web_search = truefor Codex’s OpenAI proxy only whennetwork.hosted-webis enabled. Leave the flag absent otherwise.network.hosted-web.max-usesfor Codex with OpenAI inference because standalone search does not support that limit. The separate AWF api-proxy rejection of standalone search calls remains outside this change.
