    Apparently the root cause is
nuget FSharp.Compiler.Service content: none, framework: netstandard1.6,netcoreapp1.0

    which will be written to

    FSharp.Compiler.Service (12.0.2) - content: none, framework: netstandard16, netcore10

in the lockfile. Which cannot be read by paket properly

Apparently the grammar/syntax is a bit ambitious. Suggestions? I'm not sure if there is a way to fix this properly in a non-breaking way. /cc @forki
For now I'll change the lockfile writer in a way to no output the whitespace beween the frameworks any longer:

    FSharp.Compiler.Service (12.0.2) - content: none, framework: netstandard16,netcore10

    Problem was a bit deeper:

    • paket could not parse netcore10 (which it wrote into the lockfile)
    • paket did ignore such "errors" silently
    • paket did not tell why it assumed changes

    All is fixed in #2223
