WIP

I'm trying to use the config to get nd timeseries to meet the threshold at which I would replace implot to show traces and events. My hope is that it will be a few simple config changes.

This does not render nicely in the docs

this example should be gui framework agnostic

Attempt 2: hiding controls and -y/-x axis

I know these are 2 separate features, I can make 2 separate PR's to discuss each individually.

The added config "corner" isn't a good implementation but gets the point across. I also want the data to clip and not extend out into the axis area, as is does with implot on the left.

that ruler change isn't generalizable, something like a settable extent for a rule ris, in this case would be (0, np.inf) for each of x and y.

I think we should subclass ruler further at some point

This is now using the fo/subclass-ruler branch. Again, just trying to map out how I want this to look, not necessarily making changes I expect to be merged into fastplotlib without benchmarks.

Attempt 3

Locking the data to the display area so it clips rather than overlapping with the axis
