The Statsig plugin currently connects to /v1/mcp. Switch it to https://api.statsig.com/v3/mcp for the v3 rollout and bump the plugin to 2.0.0 because v3 changes tool names and input schemas.

Update the README and changelog with tool discovery and migration guidance: reconnect after upgrading, start a new chat to refresh the catalog, and sign in again if prompted. Manually configured connections require a separate update. Preserve the plugin/server identifiers and OAuth HTTP transport.

Validation:

  • node scripts/validate-plugins.mjs passed for all plugins.
  • git diff --check passed.
  • Statsig v3 beta testing was completed by the Statsig maintainer before this change; this PR does not repeat client beta tests.

Release prerequisite: confirm v3 is enabled for all companies receiving the public plugin update before publishing. Keep v1 available for older and manually configured clients. This PR changes the Cursor package only; the separate Statsig skills update is statsig-io/agent-skills#3.

Note

Medium Risk
Major-version plugin bump changes the live MCP tool surface users rely on; mis-timed rollout or stale manual v1 configs could break Statsig agent workflows until reconnect/migration.

Overview
Bumps the Statsig Cursor plugin to 2.0.0 and points the packaged OAuth HTTP MCP server at https://api.statsig.com/v3/mcp instead of /v1/mcp (mcp.json, README example, docs link).

Documentation now covers MCP v3 breaking changes (renamed tools and input schemas): reconnect after upgrade, start a new chat to refresh the tool catalog, re-auth if prompted, and separately update any manual MCP entries to avoid duplicate connections. The README also steers agents toward the advertised tool list and discover_tools for hidden capabilities, and generalizes write guidance away from legacy Update_*_Entirely tool names.
