As it's "just“ a warning, it's not in my high priority task list. However feel free to contribute if you have some time :)
Overriding the getSupportedSourceVersion() inside AndroidAnnotationProcessor will fix the problem.
In the following blog, the author mentions most annotation processors should "generally support the latest source version".

When compiling with Android 4.4 Kitkat and using the new Java 7 support, I'm getting the following warning:
warning: Supported source version 'RELEASE_6' from annotation processor 'org.androidannotations.AndroidAnnotationProcessor' less than -source '1.7'
I'm not getting any strange behaviors from the warning so far in testing though.
