Currently, the package of the R class is derived from the AndroidManifest.xml.
The aapt tools allows overriding the application package without changing the locations of the BuildConfig or R classes to avoid having to change the code. This behaviour breaks AndroidAnnotation's R lookup.
As an enhancement, it should be possible to specify the package of the R class similar to how the path to the AndroidManifest.xml file can be overriden.
Activity
Add option to specify package of R class. Issue androidannotations#607.

I never try this kind of things. @pyricau @mathieuboniface @JoanZapata any idea about that ?

I can't say, I always build with Maven, which provides an alternative for this that doesn't break AA.

I didn't test the PR but the code seems ok to me
