I tried to see if the
softwareupdatetool allows me to perform an upgrade via the command line, but it seems that only upgrades packages. Ive raised a ticket with Macstadium to get it upgraded to MacOS15Haroon-Khel commentedon Feb 20, 2026
The team got back to me. Due to the hardware of the machine, they are only able to upgrade it to MacOS12 maximum, so I have opted for that

Ive just been told by the team that in fact upgrading to MacOS12 is not possible with the hardware that the current machine is running on. I have asked if the hardware can be upgraded

The macstadium folk were able to upgrade the machine to MacOS12 for no extra cost. The IP has changed so they will get back to me with the new one

Ive put in a support request to get the machine decommissioned. We have decided that we dont need this machine since our x64 capacity has moved to github actions

Turns out the machine is contracted until December 2026 so we can only have it decommissioned after then
