Kinetics, Attributes & a Year of Fixes
Warning
Before you update
You will need to delete your plugins/Adapt folder to allow the files to regenerate. The latest Adapt only supports the current 26.x+ versions.
This update adds support for 26.x+ on Java 25 for Paper, Purpur, Leaf, Folia, Canvas and Spigot.
New
- Kinetics Adapt's 23rd skill: 18 adaptations across Mass, Impact and Thrust rewarding mace smashes, spear combat, knockback, controlled falls, launches, levitation and dropping anvils on things. Moon Jump, Meteor Cadence, Charge Lance, Rebound Anvil and more.
- Real attributes, not potions Every buff Adapt grants is now handled through an attribute service instead of potion effects. Buffs stack with real potions instead of fighting them.
- Learning economy Optionally charge Vault currency alongside Knowledge when players learn adaptations, with configurable refunds. Off by default.
- WorldGuard flags Deny or multiply XP per region, grant bonus power, or temporarily unlock adaptations inside a region.
- Permission XP multipliers Map permission nodes to XP multipliers for ranks (
adapt.xpmultiplier.vip = 1.5), highest-wins or stacking. - Iris Feller An Iris-only Axes adaptation that removes entire Iris trees, funded by hunger and axe durability.
- Debug mode
/adapt debug modeshows every skill tree and allows you to unlock anything for free. - GUI customization Change the menu size, icon overrides, skill ordering, and a show-all-skills toggle (currently only shows what you have unlocked).
Improved
- Performance Huge improvements to how adaptations are handled for players who haven't unlocked them yet, idle adaptations are parked when not in use, MySQL databases save in batches, and placeholders resolve from snapshots instead of polling live.
- Reworks across the catalog Chalk Line is a four-wand building toolkit, Rift Blink costs health instead of pearls and can phase through walls while sneaking, Sixth Sense paints a live structure compass on your XP bar, Trophy Polish replaces Gem Polish, and Tragoul, Stealth, Seaborne and Taming all got meaningful rebalances.
- Plays nice All HUD output merges through the shared action-bar compositor (no more boss bars or stolen titles), languages download on demand instead of shipping in the jar, and full Spigot compatibility.
Fixed
- An enormous amount of fixes: four item-duplication exploits, a pile of XP farms, Hungry Shield absorbing nothing, Herbalism Luck never firing, Anvil Savant being a silent no-op, copper tools not counting for any skill, brewing recipes one effect level too strong,
can_claim_nextreturning false forever, protection-plugin bypasses, and hundreds more.
