Start Menu Organizer v0.15.1
The approved route-and-menu logo now has a complete source archive. This release also brings the download link closer to the top of the README and fixes an uninstall problem found during package validation.
What changed
- Preserved all four original logo directions, the selected master, and selection metadata.
- Added a shorter introduction and direct download link. The product tour now clearly identifies its read-only demo data.
- Refreshed the workspace, settings, and activity-log screenshots from the real application on a private desktop.
- Uninstall now checks the installation marker before deleting anything. A shortcut is removed only when its target and arguments identify that installation.
- Installed copies retain the README and license.
Install
Download StartMenuOrganizer-v0.15.1.zip, extract it, and run Install-StartMenuOrganizer.ps1 using the instructions in the README. The scripts require Windows PowerShell 5.1 and are unsigned because no code-signing certificate is available.
The adjacent .sha256 file verifies the ZIP. SHA256SUMS.txt inside it lists the packaged files. Checksums verify file integrity, not publisher identity.
Verified locally
All 14 test suites and both Pester checks passed, including shortcut ownership and repeated isolated installation. The product analyzer reported no warnings or errors. All changed scripts parse under Windows PowerShell 5.1.
The final package was installed and reinstalled in a separate directory, then launched in read-only demo mode on a private Windows desktop. No real Start Menu cleanup or user-profile shortcut replacement was performed.
