I'm a software developer in Nairobi. I build practical web applications, automation tools, and the occasional terminal toy that has no business existing but is fun to use.
- JavaScript & TypeScript — React, Next.js, Node, Bun. Most of my day job lives here. Solid when I want a UI that stays fast without me fighting it.
- React Native & Expo — mobile from the same codebase, shipped over the air.
- Nest Js — my go-to for building full applications end to end: APIs, auth, queues, the boring parts done properly.
- Python — how I poke at hardware. Most recently reverse-engineering the protocol on my Philips smart heater to see what it would tell me.
- Product-shaped engineering — taking a vague idea to something shipped, then keeping it running: schema design, payments, auth, deploys.
