Since the normal-normal trace to facets is not point-wise continuous, the element is not H(div div) (hence nonconforming). Still, non trivial conformity in the form of facet moment preservation is present, mentioned in a note as for Morley element.

Changes to nonconforming AW element:

  • replaced H(div div) with L2 for sobolev space (Piola map unchanged)
  • added note on continuity of normal-normal facet moments
  • authorised L2 sobolev for contra-contra-variant Piola mapping in test_continuity.py

The broken test seem un-related to the content of this PR, here's some Claude suggestion if you want them:

" The three failures happen inside urllib with Connection reset by peer while fetching the OEIS sequence for the ndofs check — the symfem side of each test had already succeeded. That's OEIS dropping connections under the burst of requests from 4 parallel workers "
