The Somniel
Congratulations, you've found the Somniel. Stay awhile!
Organizations
Many repositories in this instance are intentionally split into organizations for ease of access.
- CMake - CMake utilities and libraries (incl. CPMUtil)
- Scripts - Shell scripts, CI, and other stuff
- Mirrors - Mirrors of repositories/projects I use or like
About Me
I'm a semi-professional UI/UX designer, build system architect, and embedded software engineer. You probably know me from other projects I've created or contributed to, including WPILib, FEX, QDash, PolyMC, and Eden. I'm currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science.
Hobbies
Outside of programming, I play a lot of Fire Emblem (hence this repository's name), and a bit of Pokemon and Zelda. I enjoy working out and running (when I don't get brutally injured, at least). I also like to create horrifically abominable electronic devices and modules using my questionable microsoldering skills.
Within programming, I spend my spare time tinkering with build and CI systems, analyzing useless data, writing questionably useful tooling apps, administrating servers and distributed systems, and obsessing over exotic computer architectures (rest in peace, MIPS).
I also mentor the electrical and controls subteams of a low-resource FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) high school team, and used to compete myself as a student.
My Projects
The READMEs tell you everything.
- clink - dead-simple URL shortener
- pacebin - dead-simple pastebin
- Carboxyl - Theming engine and opinionated styles for QML
- QDash - FRC driver's dashboard
- fj2ghook - Forgejo-to-GitHub webhook, used for CI dispatches
- Jacinth - "JSON for Postmodern C++", a fast C++23/26 JSON library that supports arbitrary JSON documents and fast, low-overhead struct serialization and deserialization
- CPMUtil - A flexible dependency manager for CMake
Others
Other stuff I'm involved with.
- PolyMC - Featureful Minecraft launcher. I created this monstrosity, and occasionally contribute to it these days.
- GitHub CI Scripts - GitHub Actions may be slow, but at least it's free. I use this to build various libraries and applications for build system consumption.
- FEX - Run amd64/ia32 apps on aarch64 Linux. Resident CMake lunatic.
- Eden - A Switch emulator. Frontend, build system, CI, and infrastructure maintainer.
- ccache-action - Rewrote half of it with dubiously reliable TypeScript knowledge. And some POSIX shell.
- Eden CI - The purest definition of a behemoth. Compiles and distributes various types of Eden builds to Backblaze, Forgejo, and GitHub.
- WPILib - Robot control library for FRC. Resident CMake and CI lunatic.
- A ton of others where I made small build system improvements, such as: cpp-httplib, Boost, cpp-jwt, Opus, Vulkan Utility Libraries, SPIRV-Tools, libfmt, QuaZip, and Paragon.
