Hello,
I am a social worker.
After counseling my client, I have to make a goal to solve client's issues.
One of my goals is this, "The client will report a decrease/decreases/decrease in his feelings of hopelessness and helplessness."
In the sentence, which word do I should use among a decrease/ decrease/ decreases.
