Don't be so presumptuous/delusional thinking they keep looking at you; they are just scanning for an acquaintance, not because they have a crush on you.

You are being incredibly presumptuous picking a fight with your classmate just because you assumed their Facebook post was about you; they don't even know who you are.

    Noun

    [edit]

    pilingon (Badlit spelling ᜉᜒᜎᜒᜅᜓᜈ᜔)

    1. (slang) presumptuous or delusional person; someone who acts entirely on gut feelings or wishful thinking, falsely assuming that external actions, words, or romantic affections are directed toward them without any concrete confirmation
      Synonyms: pilingero, asumero
Mura jud kag pilingero da, abi kay gi-smile-an ka, sugton na ka dayon?
You are acting like such a feeler [assuming reciprocal affection]; just because she smiled at you, you think she'll accept your courtship right away?

    Usage notes

    [edit]
    • Unlike someone who is just arrogant (hambog), a pilingon operates entirely on internal projections. They constantly flatter themselves or suffer from hyper-awareness, interpreting vague social cues (a glance, a generic social media post, a polite smile) as definitive proof of validation or personal attack.
