Impromptu Cascadia Wikimedians meetup
[edit]Unless you are attending the WikiWomen lunch, perhaps you could attend an impromptu Cascadia Wikimedians meetup.
- Let's sit together for lunch tomorrow, Friday, 9/25, 12:30-1:45 to discuss some ideas Lane / Bluerasberry has, plus item #2.
- I would like to schedule a Cascadia Wikimedians general membership meeting (hybrid) for mid-November, ideally 11/14.

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Screenshot 2026-09-25 at 3.04.06 PM.png
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Screenshot 2026-09-25 at 3.04.06 PM.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Beyoncé and Rihanna's navy 🐝🪖 22:00, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
The death toll of the Biafran genocide
[edit]What valid sources can support your argument regarding the false figure of 3 million? I have a source from Google Books, and you can look it up yourself
1.
Nigeria, Biafra, and Boko Haram
Ending the Genocides Through Multistate Solution
By Osita Ebiem · 2014 > ''the USSR, Egypt and others killed over 3 million Igbro/Biafrans through war and starvation''
2.
The Manion Forum (1969)
Publisher: Dean Clarence Manion
I couldn't access the full content, but this source mentions "4,000,000 dead and dying in Biafra."
3.
Canada and the Biafran Tragedy
By Brewin, Andrew, MacDonald, David · 1970.page 80

- IP, I accept that you are a good faith editor, but none of these sources are reliable for the content. Is it possible that you are looking for a source to support this information, rather than reading the best sources and recording what they say? (t · c) buIdhe 14:14, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Well, prove that my source is irrelevant using valid arguments. You have no right to claim the source is irrelevant; there are already more than four sources stating that the figure is between 3 and 4 million. Are you perhaps embarrassed that the death toll associated with your religion is so high? Bestiea192 (talk) 09:52, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- what religion do you think I am? Guarantee you are wrong 🤣🤣
- None of the sources you provided so far support the cited content and are reliable so they cannot be used. Doesn't matter how many non reliable sources you can collect. (t · c) buIdhe 17:31, 28 September 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Coming back to this comment, how would you feel about becoming part of the support that is lacking? Any positive developments on Wikipedia require at least a small work group to drive proposed solutions of that kind forward. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:20, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
- I guess I am not optimistic about changing consensus on this issue. (t · c) buIdhe 13:27, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
