Names of schools

[edit]

I propose the following scheme for forming the short names used in the template, preserving the business school badges while indicating their parent institution:

  1. Where the school is called "Poppleton University Business School" (or "...School of Management", etc., this is shortened to "Poppleton" unless there is a separate "Poppleton Business School", in which case "Poppleton Univ." is used as natural disambiguation.
  2. Where school is called "Poppleton Johnson Business School, this is shortened to "Poppleton Johnson".
  3. Where the school is called Johnson Business School and is part of Poppleton University, the university is given in brackets, i.e., "Johnson (Poppleton)".
  4. Where the school is called "Poppleton Business School" then:
    1. If this is the business school of Poppleton University, this is shortened to "Poppleton"
    2. If this is the business school of Poppleton Metropolitan University (PMU), or any other institution, the university is given in brackets, i.e., "Poppleton (PMU)".
  5. For institutions in London, it may be necessary to give full names for disambiguation.
