Walter Johnson (defensive tackle, born 1965)

  • ... that football players Walter Johnson and Rickey Jackson lived in the same city, played at the same high school and college, and both played in the NFL on defense?
  • Source: Palm Beach Post (verifies everything but Johnson playing in NFL, but that can be verified here)

  • Not a nom, but we recently had a similar DYK hook rejected in part due to being too much of a double nom for a single nom. @BeanieFan11: I think it would be more airtight if Rickey Jackson was nominated as a GA.
    • @BeanieFan11: fixed ping since I forgot to sign. ミラP@Miraclepine 16:30, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
      • Well, I don't think I have the time to get Jackson to GA... (as one of the greats at his position it would take a ton of effort to write a complete bio for him) – do you see any alternative options here? BeanieFan11 (talk) 16:44, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Template:Did you know nominations/T. J. Watt passed and it was a "double nom for a single nom". ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 17:28, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
    • @BeanieFan11: Reading that nom, I think we might be cool from a DYKINT standpoint. I'll leave this to someone else since I already did a similar hook from you. ミラP@Miraclepine 04:34, 5 October 2026 (UTC)
