In Bulgarian, there is a difference between народ and нация, resp, between народен and национален (people's and national). Народно събрание means People's Asssebmly (see, for examle Egypt). Phips, 00:40, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Diagram

[edit]

@AbigailCav68: is invited to stop updating the diagram File:National Assembly of Bulgaria (current composition).svg since this diagram is for October 2024 elections and we have already a new file : File:Bulgaria National Assembly 2026.svg. @InternauteLambda and Aréat:. Panam2014 (talk) 13:30, 20 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Seem to me there should be an october 2024 one for the october election table, and the 2026 one for the 2026 table: two diagrams which should remain forever unchanged, like these specific election result. And then the "current" one for this page, which change everytimes there's a seat change mid term. --Aréat (talk) 14:33, 21 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Also, if the wiki doesn't let you post a current one identical to the existing 2026 one, just change one single LAST digit or number of one of the color dots to the nearest one, like #DCDCDD instead of #DCDCDC for the independents. It will be impossible to discern, and the wiki will let you post it. --Aréat (talk) 14:36, 21 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
That’s exactly my point. File:Bulgaria Parliament 2024.svg is used in October 2024 Bulgarian parliamentary election to represent the results of that election and should never be changed. File:Bulgaria National Assembly 2026.svg is used in 2026 Bulgarian parliamentary election to represent the results of that election and should never be changed. File:National Assembly of Bulgaria (current composition).svg should be used here to represent the current composition of the National Assembly and should be updated whenever that composition changes, including after an election. And a new file should be created to represent the results of the October 2024 election after the recalculation. But that is apparently “not acceptable”.
Also, I uploaded a new version of File:National Assembly of Bulgaria (current composition).svg with the post-election composition with no issues, but it was still reverted. Brainiac242 (talk) 17:24, 21 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Brainiac242 and Aréat: first of all, 51st National Assembly is still the current legislature. Then, when the 52nd National Assembly will be opened, there are no need to update the File:National Assembly of Bulgaria (current composition).svg to become a duplicate of File:Bulgaria National Assembly 2026.svg. Let free to update it on the day when the composition of 52nd National Assembly will change from the initial composition elected during the elections. It could take months or years. Panam2014 (talk) 00:32, 22 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
From experience, if we use the 2026 for the parliament page, the "current" one will fall into oblivion, and whenever a change happen someone will modify the 2026 one, messing with the election page. That's what often happen. Keeping "election year" and "current parliament" diagrams separate ensure neither page mess with the other. --Aréat (talk) 10:33, 22 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Aréat: of we could check the changes periodiquely. Panam2014 (talk) 12:44, 22 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

How to show PP-DB split?

[edit]

https://www.investor.bg/a/516-politika/429967-prodalzhavame-promyanata-i-demokratichna-balgariya-shte-registrirat-dve-parlamentarni-grupi

It appears that PP and DB will appear as separate parliamentary groups. Is it best to separate them in the chart? If so, should PP be more leftward than DPS, which would be more accurate, or keep it to the left of DB as to not disconnect them? Alternatively, could there be a way to show the two groups as separate but still visually demonstrate their connection? Plexus96 (talk) 19:35, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
