- COSCO is building a new facility on terminal island, but it is not on the former Naval site. TDC 18:58, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
General clean-up
[edit]In order to improve this article, perhaps the naval station (redirected) should be a separate article, or at least have separate paragraphs, to avoid confusion. For example, the BRAC closure date for the naval station, 1994, was three (3) years prior to BRAC closure date for the shipyard. Another area of improvement would be to drop the acronymonious jargon such as NSY, and instead use plain vocabulary, such as "shipyard" when referring to the shipyard in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.183.224.2 (talk) 01:58, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
