Areas within the city centre

What about Canning? I personally dispute that 'Canning' is an area but it definately represents the "Georgian Quarter" in the city centre. Babydoll9799 (talk) 20:33, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Canning is now mentioned as part of "Canning Georgian Quarter", which is Liverpool City Council's official name for the area. Zarino (talk) 21:30, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Companies based in Liverpool city centre

Somebody has deleted the section of major headquarters based in Liverpool which I think is over the top. Could this be moved in to a new article called Companies based in Liverpool or Merseyside? Two schools of thought: One it's an awful idea - see WP:LISTCRUFT; and two perhaps if I you like the idea you should be bold and go create it. If you do then please make sure it's not just a list of links, but there are references (which you can likely copy from the target article) to show that they are indeed based in Merseyside. I don't think I am experienced enough to create a full article, I am just going through wikipedia and the information is missing for Liverpool but not for many other cities. Are you saying that List of companies based in Greater Manchester is a terrible idea? How come people haven't deleted that article? ~2026-20884-23 (talk) 15:42, 29 April 2026 (UTC)

Also, lots of similar articles for many UK cities. I would suggest List of companies based in Liverpool cirty region like the Leeds one...
