Bachelor's degree vs Licenciate degree

[edit]

I have noticed that in this article they include all of South America. I think this is inappropriate since this region has another academic tradition in terms of titles. In most Latin American countries (maybe there are some exceptions, I don't know) the bachelor's degree is not used, but rather people obtains a licenciature degree. In the English Wikipedia there is already a specific page for this specific title: Licentiate (degree). In my opinion, a licenciate degree should not be confused with the bachelor's degree, since the firt one it is more of an intermediate degree between the bachelor's degree and a master's degree (although in Europe, from what I understand, it is literally an equivalent to a master's degree in some countries.) --Bibliotecatdj (talk) 18:18, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

This article is huge!

[edit]

We have a description of almost every country's university system, is that really necessary? 2A02:8308:6012:CF00:4497:B5ED:D3CD:B6A7 (talk) 11:20, 23 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

@2A02:8308:6012:CF00:4497:B5ED:D3CD:B6A7 I concur, the subjects section can be its own article in my opinion. Definitely can benefit from splitting into separate articles (i.e Bachelor's Degree Subjects, Undergraduate Degrees in (x country)). Then a short summary of the sections linking to the seperate article. If that is able to be done it would shorten this article for readability and allow the information to still be accessible. The information is relevant, there is enough sourcing but putting everything on this page is pure chaos. Kachow03 (talk) 17:44, 4 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Croatia

[edit]

The typical completion period for the bachelor's degree in Croatia is exclusively three years, not four, so the map has to be changed. – Šaholjubac (talk) 17:16, 22 November 2025 (CET)
