In other fields
[edit]- In Chinese slang, the number 250 means 'idiot' (spelled as èr bái wǔ in pinyin; ㄦˋ ㄅㄞˇ ㄨˇ in bopomofo).[2] The Gulfstream G280 was originally the G250, and was renamed for this reason.[3]

Chinese has plenty of other number-based slang, such as erbaiwu, or '250,' which means 'idiot,' or '38,' pronounced sanba, which means 'bitch.' There are even some streets in China that skip house number 250.
