  • Good but there’s been a crashing issue

    crashing when reopening

It’s a fantastic camera app probably the best on the App Store but for some reason recently it just started randomly crashing and then I’ll try to open it and it will just like crash over and over again and I have to delete the app and reinstall it to even use it again and for some reason now like every time, I just stop using the app. I’m done taking photos and then I try to open it again. It will just do the same thing we’ll just crash and not let me open it until I reinstall the app.

  • Don’t spend money on this junk

    InsaneDwarf

I heard all about how great of a 3rd party app this is for fine tun control and better photography which to be honest it does deliver on. But I ended up having to delete and redownload the app twice within an hour of getting it to bypass bugs. Try it and see if you run into those issues because up until I deleted the app it look like it would totally have been great for what I wanted it for.

  • Photos keep not saving

    BladeRikWr

This camera is great especially after the Mark 3 update they did. Phenomenal. However, this app is really testing my patience. Multiple times now (at least 10) I have taken a photo, held the phone in place to make sure it gets a good shot, and it didn’t save!! Super frustrating especially when taking shots that are time-sensitive. I will keep my faith in this app but may switch to my main camera when those kinds of shots are needed.

Hi there! We’re aware of this and working on a fix. Please reach out to us at support@lux.camera.

  • It makes me want to actually use my phone’s camera

    Phunky Tech

Halide Mark III, its new looks, and its new editing system has made me actually want to go out and take photos with my phone for the fun of it. And the photos that come out of it look incredible! I’ve gotten some shots that make friends question whether it came out of my phone or a real camera. For me, it’s a hobby, so the price is worth it. The app is incredible and the devs truly care. Give it a go!

  • Mark 3 is a great update.

    SniperDaShooter

Mark 3 adds some great quality of life features to Halide. The shutter priority and iso priority are welcome. And the new editing controls are fun. The new color filters seem refined, not to over saturated or gimmicky. And I love the halation feature! If I could make any changes I would work on the shutter lag. Also it would be great if the exposure compensation slider could snap to 0 easily. But otherwise I love this app and think it’s well worth the subscription.

  • LOVE

    linas_soliloquey

I never ever rate apps, but this one is so worth it. I found it on a whim and decided to try it, and immediately fell in love. Suddenly my photos look amazing. I’m taking them all the time and struggling to delete ones I don’t need because they all look so good. The photos come out looking so professional and beautiful and like they came from a film camera if you use the RAW setting (which is all I use). Seriously a wonderful app :)

  • A great update to a really good camera app

    Gentry Crafted

The new features and the process zero functionality is awesome when it matters that what you take a photo of is realistic. The only feedback I have with the iPhone pro max 17 is that golden hour photos look grainy. Otherwise, I’m using it takes lot of photos natively but also to edit photos taken from my SLR and through the various photo apps I have for different purposes.

  • Please allow overall customization of film settings!

    n3rfus

Please, please provide a way for us to change the default "film" settings. It's insanely annoying having to dial down grain, halation strength, and MTF strength for every single individual picture I take, one by one. I would love to be able to set an overall user default at minimum, or, ideally, a user default override for each look/process.

  • I will ALWAYS prefer 35mm, but…

    Tinyyhulk

This app is a lot of fun to toy around with and really get some great content. It was great before I decided to upgrade my subscription but now it’s next level. I have a few other apps that are similar but this one replaced by Apple Camera on my homepage. (But I definitely still use it, simple is never overrated.) Would absolutely recommend to anyone, newb or pro. 🫶🏼📸

  • Fabulous, willing to stay around

    Me on

Genuinely miles above the regular photo app. Not only do the pictures look better right out the bat, but they are much easier to edit properly. My main issue is sometimes when you open it it lags to the point you need to force close it and reopen to get the camera to display. i also have no interest in the 3 version. otherwise. perfect. minimal, love it.
