Welcome to Halide 3.2, which adds support for the new adjustable aperture on the iPhone 18 Pro. In addition to offering a fully variable aperture, we've added a new Aperture Priority mode. At last our logo has meaning! We're also excited to introduce two new Looks! DAWN features filmic warmth in midtones and highlights, paired with rich yet gentle shadows and subtle complementary cool colors. QuickSilver's high contrast and muted color simulate a silver-retention alternative process. As a reminder, all of Halide's film simulations are available on all devices. Not just the iPhone 18 Pro. If you have any other feedback, please let us know at support@lux.camera or hop into our Discord. Stay tuned, as we have a lot more planned for this Fall! - Team Halide

Welcome to Halide 3.1! This update includes a bunch of enhancements from our big 3.0 we launched six weeks ago. Let's dig in. SCARLET For more warmth, richness, and medium-high contrast try our new "Scarlet" look. It features high saturations, particularly around reds. Try it with summer sunsets! MORE FRAME CONTROLS In the "Frame" tab of the editor, you can now rotate and flip your photo, and even make perspective corrections-- perfect for architecture shots. COMPRESSION CONTROL We've added a capture setting to tweak the exact level of compression to apply. This is great for finding the right balance between texture and file size. EXPOSURE BIAS RESET We've added a button in our exposure menu to reset exposure bias to zero. There's also a long-press shortcut. When in manual mode, instead of resetting the bias, This feature re-meters exposure. ALWAYS-ON FOCUS TOOLS In 3.0, focus tools were only enabled when adjust focus. With 3.1, you can just leave them on all the time when in manual focus mode. RAW-ONLY LOOK You can now enable a "RAW-Only" mode within capture settings. This enables a specific look that does not save a JPEG. Because RAWs can render dramatically different in other apps, we recommend you only enable this feature if you know what you're getting into. EXPOSURE/FOCUS LOCK When in manual focus or manual exposure, tapping the viewfinder will not adjust either setting. There's other small polish improvements and bug fixes. If we missed something, let us know in our Discord or send us an email at support@lux.camera. We read every message! -- Team Halide

After 18 months of work, we’re excited to present Halide Mark III: the most powerful camera and photo lab for iPhone. We built Mark III with to render the most beautiful photos possible from an iPhone, and provide more of a "Batteries Included" experience. There’s only so much space in App Store release notes, so we can only scratched the surface of everything new in Mark III. For a deep dive, check out our blog at Lux.camera! THE LOOKS We’ve partnered with acclaimed Hollywood Colorist Cullen Kelly to develop a set of gorgeous “Looks” for Halide Mark III. Every look serves a specific purpose. Every look is a banger. * VALENCIA: For landscapes and cityscapes, but it also has interesting effects on portraiture and skin tones. It features thick contrast, deep saturation, and solid color separation. * REMBRANDT: Our portrait look, where thick contrast in the mid-tones emphasizes bone structure and lighting. Abundant color in the low end converges to white as exposure increases, for perfect uniformity in skin-tones to emphasize contour of the face. * ZEPHYR: Our most subtle and restrained look. Zephyr features subtle filmic contrast, paired with rich skin tones and foliage. It has the character of a traditional print, but its neutral tone scale and tuned contrast make it a great choice for a wide variety of scenes and visual intents. * CHROMA NOIR: Developed in-house, Chroma Noir is a panchromatic black-and-white look with medium contrast. All looks are included with Halide Mark III. THE PHOTO LAB We built Mark III to deliver awesome results straight out of camera, but we know development is as important of a creative choice as the photo itself. That’s why Mark III features its own development tool, the Photo Lab. You can tell that the Photo lab was designed to be fast and intuitive from the first moment you open it, as we present you with the "Quick Edit" pane. With a tap, you can audition different Looks. With a swipe you can change tabs, adjusting your photo’s framing, color balance, and film simulations. A REFRESHED CAMERA DESIGN A design goal of Mark III was to streamline the experience, making it easier to access the most important tools of photography, all while maintaining that Halide look and feel. One of the most important choices you can make when taking a photo is around composition, so we put those tools front and center in the toolbar. We've chosen aspect ratios that match the most popular film cameras: 35mm (3:2), medium format (1:1), and pano (65:24). We also have a dynamic aspect ratio for Instagram, which changes depending on landscape or portrait. Mark III features an updated composition overlay. Of course it includes the rule of thirds, but we've added a uniform grid, the golden ratio, and rabatment of the rectangle. We’ve also added new exposure tools, such as Shutter Priorty and ISO Priority capture. WORKS WIWTH STANDALONE CAMERA RAWS As we developed Mark III, we realized we wanted to be able to apply Halide Photo Lab to the same photos that come from our big, standalone cameras. Now you can. Inside our image gallery, you can import RAWs from the following formats: - DNG (iPhone, Leica) - CR2 (Canon) - CR3 (Canon) - NEF (Nikon) - RAF (Fujifilm) - ARW (Sony) - FFF (Hasselblad) FEEDBACK AND SUPPORT This is just the beginning, and we’d love your input to hear where we go next. You can drop us a line at support@lux.camera, or chat on our official Discord. Thank you for your amazing support. — Team Halide

Hey friends! This small update should fix an issue causing random (but still frustrating) capture failures. We've also made some adjustments to our film engine. If you have any feedback, please let us know in our Discord. We're also heads down on a bigger release, so stay tuned! - Team Halide

Wow. Thank you all for your kind words about the Mark III preview! We couldn't have been happier with the response. We're continuing the momentum this week with a handful of small fixes and improvements while we're heads-down on the next big release. If you have any feedback, please let us know at support@lux.camera, or just hop in our Discord. Thank you for supporting Halide, and we can't wait to show you what's next.

At long last, we're excited to share a preview of Halide Mark III! Inside Halide, tap the "3" button to try out the new experience and see where things are headed. New features include: * HDR in Process Zero * Our film-simulation engine * Our first new look, "Chroma Noir" * Adjustable Aspect Ratios * Tone Editing * Shutter Priority and ISO Priority * New focal lengths in Process Zero That said, this is still just a preview, and Mark III work is still in progress. Designs are incomplete, we're still bringing features over from the old version of Halide, and you should expect plenty of bugs. Luckily, you can switch back to Mark II at any time if you find the experience too hot to handle. Why release it now? Even in its rough state, we could use your feedback. Hop into our Discord, or just email support@lux.camera, to let us know how to improve. It's taken a year to get to this point. With the hard parts of the rewrite done, we can't wait to show you even more cool new stuff in the months ahead! - Ben

Thank you for your patience as we turned around a quick update for the new iPhone lineup. Among other things, this update includes fixes for: * Image orientation being wrong on the new center stage front facing camera * the 4× zoom showed as 4.5× * Using Neural Zoom and then flipping the camera could result in zoomed selfies If you have any other issues, please let us know via support@lux.camera, or drop into our official Discord. — Team Halide

HALIDE MEETS LIQUID GLASS Welcome to Halide 2.26! As you a tell by the number, this is our inaugural update for iOS 26 and Liquid Glass.  This update includes bug fixes and minor improvements for iOS 26. Our main Adaptive Icon is now rendered with a beautiful Liquid Glass style; enjoy glassy widgets on your Home Screen in Clear mode, and even notice beautiful Liquid Glass menus and details in the app. Stay tuned for a bigger update with a set of design changes we have been working on for a long time — it will be taking full advantage of the new “Liquid Glass" design system.  In the mean time, if you have any iOS 26 related issues, please reach out support@lux.camera, and we'll get right on it!

This update includes minor bug fixes. Specifically, due to conflicts between Camera Controls and the action button, we've disabled the action button override on the latest iPhones until we find a workaround.

In this small update to Halide, we have a few big improvements. For one, we noticed that launches could stall under rare circumstances, so we've found a way to speed things up. We've fixed an issue where some devices wouldn't see our action button menu in settings. Finally, we've updated our membership screen in settings. This includes new plumbing to support the Halide Mark III technical preview! Stay tuned for more details! -- Team Halide

This update adds official support for the iPhone 16e.

Hey everyone! We're hard at work on our next major release. In the mean time, this small update fixes a rare case where in-app purchases don't work as expected.
