Farrah Abraham Speaks Out About Jaw Surgery That Left Her Unrecognizable: ‘I Feel Like Frankenstein’
- Farrah Abraham underwent a double-disc jaw surgery that she claims was necessary due to serious jaw damage caused by a non-consensual assault.
Farrah Abraham is getting candid about her double-disc jaw surgery.
On Thursday, October 1, the former reality TV personality, 35, posted an Instagram video that began with a selfie of her at a pumpkin patch, standing in front of a Frankenstein figure, and included a clip of her stitches being removed, along with photos of X-rays and medical bills.
The 16 and Pregnant alum penned a lengthy caption about the gruesome surgery.
"Responding to the jaw surgery in my own words: I feel like Frankenstein 🎃 This is NOT cosmetic. This is NOT a GoFundMe," she wrote. "We must STOP medical billing scams and support our doctors over the criminals who caused this."
"TIP: Get jaw surgery before Halloween and you'll fit right in 🎃 — Frankenstein & Terminator (stitches + titanium)," Abraham joked. "Thank you to my father and daughter for getting me through ICU: nerves coming back online, eyes moving, hearing returning, making sure I don't choke. 3 months wired shut is the hardest — metal in your mouth all day, flavored water only, lost 12 LBS. Worse than labor / birth. Skull scans + receipts to prove it."

The former Teen Mom star claimed that "a non-consensual assault left me with serious jaw damage," noting she "spent years suffering in silence just trying to eat, talk, breathe."
"I find it odd everyone says sue my doctor when I should sue the animal who did this to me. It's in the news and I am," she wrote, seemingly referring to her civil suit against a former mayor of a town in California, Dominic Foppoli, who she has accused of sexual assault. Foppoli has denied all the allegations against him, per CBS News.
"This double jaw surgery was planned for months — custom-molded jaws, amazing doctors, PAs, ICU nurses + engineers who built them just for me," Abraham added before discussing some of her billing issues.

"I'm sharing my stitches + titanium images because this is bigger than me. Keeping it Fair with Farrah Abraham — so others aren't taken advantage of," Abraham, who is running for city council in Austin, Texas, penned.
"To clickbait reporters: survivors deserve truth, not sensationalism. Do better," she concluded. "Thank you to everyone who got me through this. I'm a survivor + advocate 🫶."
As In Touch previously reported, Abraham's manager Chrissy Johnston told the Daily Mail on Tuesday, September 29, that her client "cannot speak because her jaw is wired shut, and her face is extremely swollen," noting that she is on a liquid diet.
"She is in a severe amount of pain and is really struggling, both physically and mentally," Johnston revealed. "To make matters worse, she has also lost hearing in her right ear. I hope and pray that her pain eases soon and that her hearing returns to normal over time."
