Since the beginning of 2024, an additional 940,000 people has been displaced in the DRC, bringing the total around 7.3 million. Women are 51 percent of the displaced population. More than 80 per cent of displacements are due to armed attacks and clashes. North Kivu and Ituri are the provinces have received the largest number of returnees in the last three months.
