Woody (Tom Hanks) is stolen from his home by toy dealer Al McWhiggin (Wayne Knight), leaving Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) and the rest of the gang to try to rescue him. But when Woody discovers that he's actually a valuable collectible from a once-popular television show called "Woody's Roundup" and is reunited with his horse Bullseye, Jessie the yodeling cowgirl (Joan Cusack) and his faithful sidekick, Stinky Pete the Prospector (Kelsey Grammer), he doesn't want to leave.

Toy 2 is colorful and funny, and the computer-animation from Pixar Animation Studios creates a convincingly detailed environment for the toys.

Toy Story 2 is a brilliant example of that rarest of Hollywood phenomena a sequel to a major hit film thats as good, if not better, than the original.

And I think it's this idea [of enjoying things while they last] that ultimately makes Toy Story 2 such a remarkable sequel. [Full review in Spanish]

If "Toy Story 2" was daring, it was for making the true villain into a fellow toy who is ruthless and willing to use violence, emotional manipulation and human beings to get what they want.

Toy Story 2 is somehow better than the first, complete with a tightly written script and groundbreaking animation for 1999 standards.

This movie is amazing, I love how it has only one major objective for both Buzz and Woody, I love how there’s a conflict, Woody needs to go home to Andy or else he will be really sad, but also if Woody leaves Jessy, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete than they would be locked in storage for who knows how long, and I like how Woody negotiates with Jessy and everything ends up resolved
