The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids tablet utilizes the same internal hardware as Amazon’s standard Fire HD 10. Inside, you’ll find a Mediatek MT8186A SoC with two Arm Cortex-A76 and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores that are clocked at 2.05GHz and 2.0GHz, respectively. This is paired with a dual-core Arm Mali-G52 graphics processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage space on this model—the latter is upgradable via a micro SDXC slot.

These specs aren’t what you’d call blazing fast for 2026, but you’ll be surprised by how quick and nimble a tablet running this hardware feels. You won’t encounter any issues streaming videos or running kid-friendly games. The tablet’s battery is reported to last 13 hours of continuous use, and our Editors’ Choice-awarded review put it at up to 10 hours with the screen at full brightness while playing local video.

Not only can having a tablet be beneficial for kids' development through educational content, but it can also be helpful to parents. Life is busy, and sometimes having something safe that keeps your child entertained while you catch up on work or chores around the house is invaluable.

As a kid-friendly tablet, this device comes with a protective case featuring Mickey Mouse on the back, paired with a red-and-yellow color scheme to match. Alternatively, you can also select to buy a version with a Disney Princess case.

This model isn’t ad-supported on the lock screen, and from my experience with another Amazon Fire HD kids tablet, it typically receives more kid-friendly advertisements in other apps, such as YouTube. Also included with the tablet is a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ and a two-year worry-free guarantee against the tablet getting broken.

If you act now, with time running out fast, you can pick up this tablet on Amazon, marked down from $199.99 to $114.99. You'd better hurry, though, as Amazon’s Big Deal Days sale ends today.
