Best Laptop Deal of the Day: This Mighty Midrange Lenovo Gaming Rig Is 36% Off

Gaming laptops are the biggest step in upping your stats, skills, and overall gaming experience in the AAA world. Regular laptops can only get you so far—and let’s face it, they’re really just an introduction. But we can’t lie, true gaming laptops are often a hefty investment, especially if you want to do it right.

Ideally, you should look for a rig with a spectacular screen, ample memory, and lots of horsepower under the hood to make a real difference in your late-night sessions. And finding that on a budget? Pretty difficult. Except right now, it isn’t: Best Buy has the excellent Lenovo Legion Pro 5i gaming laptop on sale for $1,200 off.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i is a gaming rig that balances price, performance, and size, and it’s perfect for gamers who want to put on their power user caps during the day. It starts off strong with a dazzling 16-inch 3K OLED screen. It uses Lenovo PureSight and Smart Shift AI tech to brighten dim environments, maintain high-fidelity visuals, and keep your panel healthy for years to come. It boasts a blistering 240-hertz refresh rate to keep everything buttery-smooth, and it can clock up to 500 nits of brightness so you can game (or—fine—be productive) in brightly lit corners of your home or office.

Now, let’s talk processing power. This configuration runs on an Intel Core Ultra 9 Series 2 processor, a particularly potent multi-core CPU built for heavy production, streaming, and creative tasks on top of AAA gaming and multitasking. It can even reach up to a 5.4GHz max boost. Supported by a Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, a massive 32GB of RAM (in this memory crisis? Sheesh!), and a very spacious 1TB SSD, you’ve got yourself a high-performing, power-efficient gaming machine.

We took a closer look at the previous generation, and laptop expert Mark Knapp lauded its “class-leading (or close) performance, sharp and smooth screen, excellent keyboard, and solid design,” as long as you can live without a Thunderbolt 4 port. He awarded it an “Excellent” rating, especially for its surprisingly lengthy battery life. Considering that he gave the Gen 9 such praise and the sale is on the newer Gen 10, it’s safe to say that $1,200 off is a delightful deal on the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i.
