The Government has confirmed that the Infected Blood Support Schemes (IBSS) will remain open while the Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA) prepares to take over responsibility for Support Scheme payments, as part of the wider Infected Blood Compensation Scheme. The Cabinet Office, IBCA, Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and the Devolved Governments are working closely with the IBSS Administrators to ensure this transition is as smooth as possible.
Regular support payments
Final support payments from EIBSS will be made on 19 March 2027. If your usual payment date falls before this, you will receive your payment as normal. However, if your regular payment date falls on the 20th, 27th, or 30th of the month, your payment will be brought forward accordingly.
From 1 April 2027, IBCA will be responsible for your regular payments.
