This is the real interface running in your browser. Browse the library, check a game's route, or open Logs and Settings. Nothing launches on your Mac.
MetalSharp reads each game's DirectX imports and picks a route for it. Tested games get theirs from the rules file. Not sure which one you need? Check your title first.

The default for most DirectX 10 and 11 games. D3D11 and D3D10 are translated straight to Metal, with no Vulkan step in between.
For older 32-bit games: the same DXMT translation, run in a separate 32-bit (i386) prefix.
For older D3D9 games: Wine's i386 D3D9 with x87 acceleration, launched the same way as DXMT.
D3D12 through D3D9 go through vkd3d-proton and DXVK, then MoltenVK hands off to Metal. D3D12 on this route is still in development.
For XNA, FNA, and MonoGame games: native Mono with staged assemblies and Steamworks shims. No Wine involved.

Usually you don't have to: MetalSharp picks one from the game's DirectX imports, and tested games use the route listed in the rules file. If a game doesn't run, pick another route from its bottle dropdown, and check the supported games list for what worked for others.
