I had the privilege of speaking with the Red Hat Architecture Portfolio marketing team today and presenting my #SwEng team's software engineering project to them. They were particularly interested in our use of Openshift to deploy our containerised application and how we successfully prepared our project for #redhatopenshift without any prior experience. As part of the Trinity College Dublin 2023 SWENG projects, IBM tasked my team with creating a reimagined Architecture Portfolio Center. We took inspiration from an open-source project and transformed it into a fully customizable application, empowering organizations to effortlessly adopt it for their unique architecture portfolios. Our application serves as a centralized hub, eliminating the need to navigate through various project management tools commonly used within an organization. It provides a streamlined platform where all projects under an organisation can be showcased and conveniently filtered. We leveraged the power of the Carbon Design System (designed by IBM) to craft a sleek and professional UI for our application. Check out the demo video here: https://lnkd.in/eCUjR7kh Our team exceeded the project requirements by adding our own innovative features and ideas, resulting in an end product that I am extremely proud of. It’s amazing what we were able to accomplish in just 10 weeks of college time. Presenting our work to the Red Hat team, alongside my co-leader Zemyna Marie Isabelle Kulikauskaite Kaite, was an amazing opportunity that I greatly appreciate. The level of enthusiasm from the Red Hat team, including, Chris Henderson, Gordon Haff, Camry Fedei and Ishu Verma, was truly inspiring. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to my exceptional mentors, Mihai Criveti and Paul Ellis, for their invaluable support throughout this project. Collaborating with such talented individuals has been an absolute honour, and I am truly grateful for their guidance along the way. #ibm #redhat #openshift #trinitycollegedublin #opensource #computerscience
