Open-sourced AI filmmaking tool Inline Studio built on ComfyUI

This title was summarized by AI from the post below.

Someone built version control for AI filmmaking on top of ComfyUI, then open-sourced the whole thing. A creator who works in AI tooling kept hitting the same wall. Node graphs are great for control, but can fall short for thinking in scenes and shots, and every generation overwrites the last with no real way to track what worked. So over a few weekends, they and a friend vibe-coded a desktop app called Inline Studio. Instead of nodes, you work in frames and takes. Every generation is kept, never overwritten, and you promote the best one to a hero take. The frames wire together, so a change to your character design flows downstream into scene one, then scene two. The whole thing runs on top of your own ComfyUI, local or cloud, and hosts no inference itself. Then they asked the subreddit one honest question: does this solve a real problem, or does it just bug me more than everyone else? 151 upvotes later, with a thread of people saying the node graph never fit how they think either. This is the part of open source you can't fake. Someone wanted a tool that didn't exist, built it on us, and gave it to everyone. The repo's up. Go show some support. https://lnkd.in/g7fdm7wE

This is incredible. Solves a lot of issues of how to organize efficiently while generating a story

Can't wait to try out ComfyUI. I've been wanting a different interface than text for a while now.

Now if we could only get a live LLM agent within ComfyUI… ;)
