“𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒂 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒂 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒆𝒅.” At the HumanX, our Managing Partner Rajul Garg sat down with Romain Dillet to discuss the reality of building enterprise AI today. With $500K-$1M, a 5-to-10-person team can build at speeds that were unimaginable five years ago. Capital efficiency is at an all-time high, making it easier than ever to launch. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡? 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭. When speed is no longer a moat, standing out to enterprise buyers becomes the real battle. Success no longer comes from just building the software; it comes from: -Creating "jaw-dropping" demos that demonstrate instant, undeniable ROI. -Selling complete outcomes (services) instead of a software that buyers have to learn and manage. -Having the domain expertise to survive procurement and compliance marathons. 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 are expected to do more with less like driving efficiency, ensuring compliance, and supporting growth, all with leaner teams. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐈 is making this possible by automating finance workflows that have traditionally been manual, repetitive, and error-prone. From invoice processing and procurement to reporting and decision support, AI is helping finance teams operate faster, more accurately, and at lower cost. That's why we're excited about companies like FinanceOps, Zeplyn | Agentic AI for Wealth Managers, and Flair Labs in our portfolio. Each is building AI-native solutions that transform critical finance workflows and help organizations unlock greater efficiency. As AI moves from assisting work to executing it, finance is becoming one of the clearest examples of Vertical AI's impact. #VerticalAI #Fintech #AIAgents #FutureOfWork Pragas Nanthakumar Yogesh Jeswani Era Jain Divam Jain Samir Sen ( Eddie) Chao-Ping Wu Shwetank Verma Rajul Garg Gaganpreet Luthra Dinesh Singh Ravi Srivastava Olga Balakina Henry Goodwin Madhusmita Das

The first wave of AI focused on general-purpose assistants. The next wave is built for industries. Instead of asking AI to do everything, 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐈 companies are combining domain expertise, proprietary workflows, and industry-specific data to solve complex problems with greater accuracy, reliability, and measurable business impact. Two sectors where we're seeing this transformation accelerate are 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 and 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡. ⚖️ 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐈 is streamlining contract management, legal research, document review, compliance, and litigation workflows helping legal teams work faster while maintaining human oversight. 🌱 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐈 is enabling enterprises to automate carbon accounting, ESG reporting, and sustainability intelligence as regulations tighten and net-zero commitments become business priorities. Enterprise GTM in AI era: AI has changed a lot. Prospecting lists are sharper. Outreach is more personalised. Pilots get designed faster. Onboarding is smoother. The whole funnel is getting more efficient. But one thing hasn't moved at all: AI cannot build trust. I'm seeing this with several companies selling into large enterprises. You can automate the research, the first email, even demos. But when you are trying to close it sitting in a room with different stakeholders, it's still done the same way: building connections, relationships, storytelling, empathy, and relentless execution by sales teams. So especially for enterprise GTM, as everything else becomes hygiene, the human sales layer will matter more, not less. Because if TOFU, pilots, integrations are all roughly as good as the next company's, as they increasingly are, the differentiator is who's sitting in the room. For any startup planning to sell to the enterprise, this is not something you figure out later. Sales culture, sales hiring, sales leadership- all this will take time to build. #venturecapital #B2Bsales #enterprise #GTM #sales #startups #founders

Why are so many European founders quietly building their second headquarters in India? We wanted a real answer - not the generic "cheaper engineers" take - so we spent the last few months talking to founders, investors, and operators who've actually done it. The result is our new report: "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬." It covers what's actually driving this shift - talent depth, market access, and a maturing capital ecosystem and how founders are navigating the practical side: hiring, structuring, and raising. At Leo Capital, this is a pattern we see constantly across 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟗𝟎+ 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 in AI-native and enterprise tech companies. We wanted to put a name to it. Trust layer for Enterprise AI agents Every startup building AI agents has access to the same foundation models. GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, and the underlying intelligence is increasingly becoming a level playing field. So if the model isn't the differentiator, what is? For enterprises, some of the easier use cases are already happening. Workflow scheduling, support ticket routing, A/B testing, etc. Useful, definitely. They can help you get a foot in the door, but there isn't much defensibility there. The more interesting question is: what happens when the decision actually matters, and someone has to take responsibility for it? A CFO approving an AI-recommended budget reallocation. A legal team acting on a contract risk flagged by an agent. These are situations where "the AI said so" isn't really an acceptable answer. This is where the trust layer becomes important. Not just an audit log, but being able to understand why the agent made a decision, what data it used, what it didn't use, and having a clear way to review or override the decision. For an enterprise, that's what makes it possible for someone senior to actually put their name behind an AI recommendation. And trust like this takes time to build. Once it is established, it can also be very difficult to replace. If you're building AI agents for the enterprise, I think the trust layer needs to be part of the product from day one, rather than something added later for compliance. #AIagents #enterprise #B2B #startups #founders #venturecapital
