Our portfolio company Upstash has been ranked #10 on Brex's list of fastest-growing software vendors. Upstash is the data platform modern and AI applications are built on. Serverless Redis, Vector, and Search databases with low latency and pay-as-you-go pricing. The kind of infrastructure that quietly powers a lot of what gets built today. This ranking is a reflection of how foundational their infrastructure has become. Congratulations to Enes and the Upstash team. 🚀

Our summer 2026 fastest-growing vendors list is out, with more than half of the vendors selling infrastructure for AI products, not the products themselves. Turns out the real AI hype isn't the app, it's what's under it.

  • Upstash Redis has been running at 100% uptime for 3+ months. We're proud of the number, but even prouder of the discipline behind it. Our reliability principle is simple: a customer should never be the first to tell us something is wrong. We monitor every replica individually, every minute, from 18 locations around the world. Even when failover keeps the database available and customers notice nothing, a replica going down is still an incident and it wakes the on-call engineer. Because uptime isn’t just whether our dashboards are green. It’s whether customers can reach Upstash from where they are. Huge credit to our engineering team for maintaining this standard every day. 🫶 Here’s how it works: https://lnkd.in/dRSaAM32

  • One principle we take seriously at Upstash: a customer should never discover an outage before we do. External monitoring gives us the customer’s view of the platform. Every replica, every minute, from 18 locations. Thanks to Checkly for sharing how this layer of our reliability stack works, and huge credit to İlter Kavlak and our engineering team behind it.

Your internal dashboards can be green while a customer in Singapore stares at a timeout. That's why Upstash never closes an incident on internal metrics alone. Every Redis replica gets its own external Checkly check, every minute, from 18 locations, and that outside view has the final say. • Many teams use Upstash Redis as their primary operational database. But the moment they need full-text search, filtering, sorting, or aggregations, they often end up introducing another search system and keeping everything in sync. That’s why we’re excited to announce that Upstash Redis Search is now generally available. It lets you add full-text search directly to the data already stored in Upstash Redis. Create an index over your keys, continue writing Hashes, Strings, or JSON as usual, and the index automatically stays up to date. Query it using the SEARCH.* commands or the @upstash/redis SDK. No separate search cluster. No synchronization pipeline. No custom indexing infrastructure to maintain. This isn’t technology we just released. We’ve been running Upstash Redis Search in production for months inside Context7, where it powers millions of documentation searches every month across 110,000+ indexed libraries. How we use it in Context7: https://lnkd.in/dcX4z_UH The attached video shows how simple it is: Create an index → add data → start searching. Curious to see what you’ll build with it. • Runnable code is not always current code. We benchmarked the same LLM in an internet-isolated environment under two conditions: • Static model knowledge only • The same model with Context7 documentation access Across 50 coding questions, the model relying only on static knowledge failed to follow current documentation in all 50 cases. With Context7, that dropped to just 8. The biggest surprise wasn’t hallucinations. Most of the generated code actually ran. The problem was that it quietly relied on deprecated APIs, outdated implementation patterns, or older documentation. Code that compiles, passes basic tests, and still isn’t the code you should be writing today. This becomes especially important in enterprise and air-gapped environments, where coding assistants can’t browse the web. Without access to current, version-specific documentation, AI assistants gradually fall behind as libraries evolve. Current documentation isn’t just about making code run. It’s about generating code that’s correct for the version you’re actually using. Okara went from launch to supporting 100,000+ websites in just three months. That kind of growth puts pressure on everything behind the product: state management, workflow orchestration, retries, rate limits, caching, and content quality. Okara is building an AI CMO for startups and small teams, where autonomous agents handle SEO, GEO, content creation, social media, LinkedIn outreach, influencer campaigns, Hacker News promotion, and more. To support that scale, the team uses Upstash Redis, QStash, and Vector across the platform. One quote from founder Fatima Rizwan stood out: “Upstash was one of those decisions that we made very quickly because it solved real scaling problems without slowing down the team.” That’s exactly what modern infrastructure should do: solve scaling challenges while letting teams stay focused on building products. Congratulations to Fatima, Adil, and the entire Okara team. Looking forward to seeing what comes next. Customer story: https://lnkd.in/djsAknGS

  • Supply-chain risk is making isolated development environments feel less optional every day. As developers increasingly work with AI-generated code and third-party dependencies, running code in a sandbox before it reaches your local machine is becoming a sensible default. Upstash Box was built for exactly that.
