  • AI agents can move funds, but how much control should we give them? Day 2 at TOKEN2049 Singapore! Today, Kristijan Kowalsky took to the Cardano booth to discuss the security risks that come with autonomous AI agents. From understanding what agents can access to controlling what they can do and proving safeguards work, Kris explored some of the key considerations around AI agent security. Thanks to everyone who joined the session and stopped by for a chat

  • Docker builds shouldn’t be the slowest part of CI. At BazelCon Training Day, Tweag’s Rafael Lima will lead “Build Without the Bytes: High-Velocity Image Composition at Scale.” Rafael will show how Bazel, rules_oci and rules_img support a graph-based approach to assembling container images instead of relying on imperative, sequential Dockerfiles. The workshop will cover building images independently of a local Docker daemon and creating a transparent, content-addressable architecture where what is built in CI is byte-for-byte identical to what runs in production. 13 October | 09:00–10:30 | Room 11–14

  • Day 1 at @token2049 through our camera roll. From Fahmi Syed's Midnight keynote to Frederik Gregaard talking real-world assets at the Cardano booth. Tomorrow it’s @KrisKowalsky's turn: autonomous AI agents for security auditing, with on-chain payment settlement.

  • Amsterdam is next. From 13–15 October, Tweag by Modus Create will be at BazelCon 2026. Across the event, our engineers will be sharing practical work on modernising build systems, reducing complexity and improving developer productivity with Bazel. Rafael Lima will lead a Training Day workshop on high-velocity container builds, while Guillaume Maudoux will talk about taming configuration explosion across millions of configured actions. If you’re working with Bazel at scale, come and meet the team at our booth.

  • Topiary v0.8.0 -- Irresistible Ironwood -- is out! 🌳 The headline feature is Tree-sitter language injection support, for formatting embedded code. That brings Markdown with fenced code blocks, full OCamllex and experimental Menhir support with embedded OCaml, and JSON in Rust. Also new: much richer error reporting, better multi-line string formatting for Nix and Nickel, and a --check flag for CI. https://lnkd.in/e8YH6Ybh

  • Seven years after their introduction, Nix flakes are still experimental and the debate around them hasn’t quite gone away. At NixCon 2026, Tweag’s Valentin Gagarin will explain why he changed his mind about flakes and why he thinks the controversy was never really about the technology itself. Expect some history, a closer look at where communication went wrong and a healthy dose of opinion on how the Nix community can do better. 📅 27 September 🕘 09:00–09:45 📍Room A

  • AI coding agents are only as good as their memory of how to use your tools – and in long sessions, that memory tends to fade. In our latest blog post, Victor Nascimento Bakke introduces tricorder-mcp, an MCP server for Tricorder, Tweag's Haskell dev tool. He explains why an MCP server holds up where a skill file struggles, and walks through a real feature built with Claude Code. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gi8eZHH3 #Haskell #AI #MCP #DevTools

  • Sandbox Nix builds are great. Rebuilding for the 42nd time? Less so. At Nixcon 2026, Tweag’s Guillaume Maudoux will talk about Nixception: a way to get fast incremental builds without giving up sandboxing, while sharing the same Nix cache inside and outside the sandbox. He’ll get into how it works, where it can help and some of the challenges involved in translating between Remote Build Execution and Nix. 📅 26 September 🕝 14:30–15:15 📍Room A
