Distributed systems are so cool, but also one of the biggest challenges to get *just* right. Consensus protocols. Connection multiplexing. Caching. Failover. So many factors to consider that require careful design choices. Been so cool to see Neki come to fruition over the past year+, and I'm blessed to work with some of the best distsys engineers in the world. A snippet from my talk at Neki night a few weeks ago.
