🔆 PharmStars Alumni Spotlight 🔆 RoseRx provides a compliant, conversational, hyperpersonalized patient and HCP agentic AI commercial platform. The pharmaceutical industry loses an estimated $35 billion in revenue annually because promotional content is not tailored to a patient’s treatment journey or the specific needs of the prescribing physician. Most of pharma's digital content is static, stale, generalized, and lacks real-time personalization. RoseRx’s medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) trained AI agents continuously interface across pharma marketing channels, engaging patients and HCPs in compliant, personalized conversations that adapt based on real-time behaviors. Each agent is trained on a brand's approved content and provides dynamic, contextual, and compliant education to patients and HCPs. Built from RoseRx’s proprietary data obtained by navigating 530,000 patients through digital prescription journeys across 22 conditions, their agents are now available for any therapeutic area. Clients have measured a 310% improvement in patient and HCP completion of recommended “Next Best Action” when compared with static content. Two top-ten global pharma companies are using their platform for conversational engagements in dermatology, cardiology, and urology. RoseRx is adding real-time support for field-sales teams and enhanced commercial analytics. 📸 #PharmStarsAlumni RoseRx CEO and Co-Founder Romain Bonjean responding to questions at the Spring 2026 PharmStars Startup Showcase. Our PharmStars Digital Innovations in Immunology cohort is getting ready for the spotlight in Boston next month! The #digitalhealth and #AI #startups are making so much progress. Their pharma value propositions are coming into focus, and they’re now preparing their pitches for our Startup Showcase. The breadth of this cohort is exciting, too. Their digital innovations span drug discovery, clinical development, and commercial activities, with applications in respiratory conditions, skin diseases, and even cancer. I’m so proud of these teams and how far they’ve come. I can’t wait to see them present in Boston!

Congratulations to Reflector Bio!! #PharmStarsAlumni 🎉
With mounting R&D costs and international pressure, biotech teams get one or two real shots before the money runs out. Screening compounds against complex, functional readouts gives those shots the best chance of success, but it has never scaled. Now, with an in silico phenotypic model trained on millions of real experiments, it can. Read the announcement: https://lnkd.in/eiqnvqcp

🔆 PharmStars Alumni Spotlight 🔆 WittGen Biotechnologies’ genAI platform provides single-cell precision simulation for molecular drug response prediction. Effective oncology drugs should attack only specific cancer cells while sparing healthy cells. But without knowing how each type of cell responds to a therapy, both efficacy and dangerous toxicity can go undetected. Only slow, expensive single-cell sequencing experiments can provide this information. Wittgen’s generative AI platform rapidly and cost-effectively delivers cell-level detail by converting standard tissue-level sequencing data and pathology images into distinct cell-type profiles at the molecular level. Their platform generates multiomics-integrated “Virtual Cell” profiles (DNA, RNA, and protein information for each cell) that consistently simulate drug responses at the single-cell level, allowing pharma to access the benefits of traditional single-cell sequencing for 5% of the cost and 93% faster. Using their platform, pharma can rapidly develop and evaluate more precise inclusion-exclusion criteria for Phase I and II trials without running additional experiments. Wittgen’s platform is clinically validated using 126 breast cancer patients from the National Cancer Institute Human Tumor Atlas Network. Moffitt Cancer Center uses it to develop cell-specific biomarkers for colorectal cancer. Four biopharma clients have used the platform for target optimization and Phase II protocol design. By 2027, they plan to have digital twins that replicate every cell at the molecular level. 📸 #PharmStarsAlumni WittGen Biotechnologies CTO and Co-Founder Minwoo Jung presenting at the Spring 2026 PharmStars Startup Showcase. He participated in the program with Single-cell Lead Se-eun Han and CEO and Co-Founder Yun Rhie. PharmStars Ventures is proud to have WittGen Biotechnologies as a portfolio company. I'm grateful for the time and expertise that PharmStars’ Mentor Advisor, Dhiren Patel, PharmD, continues to share with our startups. 🙏 He recently gave our Fall 2026 cohort a masterclass on “Sales and Pricing Your Product for Pharma.” Dhiren discussed that startups seeking pharma clients must build relationships and earn trust across the organization for long-term success. Beyond advice and tips on this topic, Dhiren shared concrete, practical steps from his years selling to pharma. Dhiren also shared his wisdom with our startups at our Launch Event in September ( 📸 here he is speaking) and is actively mentoring one lucky startup this semester. I deeply appreciate his practical guidance, real-world perspective, and ongoing commitment to the PharmStars startups. Thank you, Dhiren!

One of the things I value most about PharmStars is the generosity of our Mentor Advisors. They bring years of pharma experience and a willingness to share their time and help our digital health startups understand how the industry works. Katherine Vandebelt is a wonderful example. After teaching our startups about drug development at our Launch Event, we were fortunate to welcome her back to #PharmaU for a session on pharma due diligence and contracting. In addition to one-on-one mentoring, Katherine’s teaching helps our startups understand pharma collaborations and how to prepare. Our startups often tell us how much her guidance helps them. I’m grateful they can learn directly from someone with such deep industry experience. Thank you, Katherine for the time, care, and expertise you share with our startups. We’re lucky to have you in the PharmStars' community!

PharmStars’ Fireside Chat series highlights how our biopharma member organizations approach digital health. Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc.’s Bhaskar Dutta, Head of Digital Health & Medical Affairs Technologies, recently joined PharmStars’ CEO, Naomi Fried, Ph.D., to speak with our current cohort of digital health startups. Alexion’s commitment to digital health predates its acquisition by AstraZeneca and remains a priority. Bhaskar emphasized that digital and AI are essential to Alexion’s ambitions to be the number one rare disease company. Digital health innovation within Alexion follows a hybrid, hub-and-spoke model. The centralized hub is responsible for governance, policy, and standardization. Separate digital units within each function or therapeutic area address that business unit’s specific digital health innovation needs. Alexion is part of the PharmStars biopharma member community — a group of leaders who are all actively exploring and adopting AI and digital innovation. If you’re a pharma leader interested in engaging with high-potential, vetted startups, we’d be glad to connect. Learn more about PharmStars membership: https://lnkd.in/gR--CGjn
