Great infrastructure automation starts with great infrastructure data.
About us
Infrahub from OpsMill is the data management platform for powering reliable infrastructure automation at scale. Just like a car won’t get far with a faulty engine, your automation won’t succeed without reliable data. When infrastructure data is fragmented or out of date, automation becomes hard to scale and harder to believe in. Infrahub brings structure and versioning to your infrastructure data, so you can build automation that’s roadworthy from the start and resilient over time. UNIFY INFRASTRUCTURE DATA • Keep all data sources in sync across teams and systems • Model your infrastructure your way with full schema control • Connect business logic to technical data to capture and build on design intent • Audit every change, who made it, and how it affects the rest of your infrastructure VERSION & VALIDATE EVERYTHING • Track every change with Git-like version control • Work safely in branches and test before you deploy • Collaborate through peer review to verify changes • Validate updates automatically with native CI workflows PACKAGE & DEPLOY AS YOU WANT • Generate configs and artifacts in a scalable way • Push artifacts to any deployment or orchestration tool in your stack • Turn infrastructure designs into versioned code that can evolve over time • Expose infrastructure as APIs to deliver X-as-a-service

Talk about being under a microscope—this Thursday, 10/8, we're getting judged LIVE at Tech Field Day 😳 Damien Garros, Xavier Martins-Rivas, and Alex Gittings will be on-site in San Jose, sharing how Infrahub can help you with everything from self-service provisioning to agentic network automation to multi-domain orchestration. Want to see for yourself? Tune in between 8:00-9:30am PT to catch a glimpse of what agent-ready infra looks like.

Damien Garros kicked off CPH^Automate to a packed house! And there have been so many fantastic talks today. It's a shame there are only a couple more left, but we're excited to meet up with everyone at the social hour very soon. Grab a drink with Damien and Richard there!
Damien Garros starts us off for the very first CPH^Automate! Opening the day with a talk about AI superpowers and the age old conundrum of Build vs Buy.

Would an agent taking some of the load off your plate be helpful? Absolutely. But before you give an agent permission to provision services, change configurations, or make other infrastructure decisions, you’ve got to ask a more fundamental question. Can it trust your data? The data that works for human-driven automation may not work for autonomous agents. By default, the best engineers: - Spot missing information and go to the right place to find it - Recognize and investigate inconsistencies - Avoid systems they know are unreliable Agents don’t have that expertise to lean on. They work with what you give them, and that means you need much, much clearer rules. Our very own Adam Byczkowski just wrote up 5 signs your infrastructure data isnʼt ready for AI on the ONUG blog. If you're thinking about implementing agents, you'll want to give it a read (grab the link below). Or, catch us in person at the AI Networking Summit in a few weeks—we’ll be chatting all things AIOps. Register to meet us there! #AINetworkingSummit #AIOps #Networkautomation

Build versus buy is perhaps the oldest question in the software book. And for a while, the answers were pretty straightforward: Build, and you get more flexibility. The tradeoff is you're the one stuck maintaining and enhancing it. Buy, and you get speed and support. The tradeoff is a lack of control. With AI, though, the pros and cons aren't so cut and dry. This coming Friday, 10/2, Damien Garros is sharing his take on the build vs. buy question at the first edition of CPH^Automate in Copenhagen. Perhaps more importantly, he'll be offering a framework for deciding what to build, what to buy, and what to combine. If you're in Denmark or anywhere in the Nordics, meet up with Damien and Richard Reed for a conversation about what network automation looks like in practice. Btw, we've heard there are only a few tickets left, so hurry!

We’ve got another product reliability engineer on the team—welcome Daniel Pardo 🎉 Daniel comes to us from IriusRisk, where he spent the last couple of years building out their internal developer platform from scratch. Before that, he led platform and architecture work at companies like New Relic and adidas. Safe to say he knows a thing or two about shipping software at scale. He’s based in Zaragoza, Spain, and we were lucky to meet him in person last week. Glad to have him in the holt!

What’s the #1 reason network automations fail? They try to reproduce what a human does in script form. Projects that succeed do something different. Instead of scripting device by device, they build out a whole platform, with workflows, orchestration, and observability. That way, someone can say, ‘deploy this application’ and the system knows which 14 devices need updating, regenerates the configs, and pushes them out. Now, we’re watching the same pattern play out with agents. “Just drop an agent in to replace what this human is doing.” But for that to work, an agent has to learn everything a human knows. Agents are great at taking action (it’s what the word means after all), but they’re not great at holding all the rules in their head. That’s the job of a platform. And it’s why we’ve structured Infrahub the way we have—to give agents the trusted data, scoped context, and controlled workflows they need to automate infrastructure safely at scale. Want to learn more about agentic automation? Damien Garros just had an excellent conversation with Nick Lippis on this very topic. We'll drop a link below, but you can catch the Built for Trust episode everywhere you listen to podcasts. Oh, and be sure to catch us in person at ONUG! We’ll be sitting on a panel and are bringing a great team to man the booth 👋

Boating, biking, oyster tasting, beach, plushies, oh my! We're playing and working hard at our offsite this week. It's always a joy to see (and meet!) everyone in person and get the creative juices flowing. Really excited to see how all our planning now will manifest in Q4/Q1. Any guesses as to where we are?

Please give a warm welcome to one of our newest hires, Simon Aura--Scussel! 🎉 Simon is joining our growing technical team as a product reliability engineer. He comes to us from CNES, the organization responsible for France’s space policy. There, he spent several years as a network automation engineer, working on CI/CD and infra security. At OpsMill, his role sits between technical support and product development, so he’ll be helping real-world customer feedback make its way into Infrahub. He’s based in France, so the trip to our team offsite this week was a short one, but we’re pumped to meet him in person. Welcome to the raft, Simon!
