That's a wrap on ISC2 Security Congress 2026 👏 Over the past week, the cybersecurity community came together for four keynotes, 80 breakout sessions, six pre-conference workshops, AI Incident Rooms, tabletop exercises, career forums, product demos, roundtables and countless conversations that will continue long after Security Congress ends. We closed the event with an inspiring keynote from Kemba Walden, President of the Paladin Global Institute and former Acting U.S. National Cyber Director, who challenged attendees to identify the uniquely human strengths that remain essential in an AI-driven world. From leadership and collaboration to critical thinking and ethical decision-making, those human "superpowers" will continue to shape the future of cybersecurity. Thank you to every attendee, speaker, sponsor, exhibitor, volunteer and staff member who helped make this year's event a success. Your willingness to share knowledge, build connections and advance the profession is what makes this community so special. And before we say goodbye, we hope to see you next year at the Gaylord National Harbor on Oct 9-13, 2027. Safe travels, and see you next time 💚

Day 1 of ISC2 Security Congress 2026 is in the books! We kicked off the week with an opening address from ISC2 CEO Scott Beale, CC, who shared updates from ISC2 and reflected on the value of community, connection and professional growth across the cybersecurity profession. Our opening keynote challenged attendees to think differently about trust in the age of AI. Dr. Jessica Barker and Freakyclown (FC) brought the human and technical sides of AI-powered deception to life through eye-opening demonstrations and practical insights on navigating a world where seeing and hearing is no longer believing. This afternoon, Dr. Jaya Baloo explored two of the most significant challenges facing the profession: the rapid advancement of AI and the long-term implications of quantum computing. Her keynote offered a practical look at how cybersecurity professionals can prepare for both today's risks and tomorrow's realities. Beyond the main stage, attendees filled sessions, connected in the Expo Hall and shared ideas with peers from across the global cybersecurity community. Thank you to everyone who joined us, asked thoughtful questions, exchanged perspectives and helped make Day 1 such a memorable start to the week. We're looking forward to seeing what Day 2 brings 👏

It maps the knowledge, skills and abilities across six domains, spanning AI security fundamentals, governance and risk, data and model security, secure architecture, operations and incident response, and AI threats and testing. The scope reflects an important reality: Securing AI goes well beyond protecting a model. It requires cybersecurity professionals to connect technical safeguards with governance, privacy, operational resilience and risk throughout the AI lifecycle. One of the things I appreciate most about the cybersecurity profession is that it is built by practitioners, for practitioners. CISSP has stayed the gold standard in cyber security certifications for 30+ years for many reasons, but one of the most important reasons is the that thousands of volunteers help to make sure the relevance and the rigor of CISSP is updated regularly. I want to thank the ISC2 volunteers and credential holders who helped shape the future of the CISSP exam through their contributions to the latest exam outline update. If you contributed to this update, please comment below. I’d love to recognize you and thank you personally! Effective April 15, 2027, the updated CISSP exam outline will go live. You can review it now in multiple languages: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gCtKEzsq The cybersecurity landscape continues to evolve, and professional standards must evolve with it. By incorporating real-world expertise from the community, we help ensure the CISSP remains a trusted reflection of the knowledge and skills cybersecurity professionals need today and in the future.
