Fun fact! the first #IPv6 eBGP sessions in South Africa, across an IX, were between AS3741 and AS2905 across #JINX, back in 2001. That’s 25 years ago! 😊 Navigating routing security and IPv6 are two of the essential skills for the future. Hands-on, in-network, real-world IPv6 #deployment, to get traffic moving natively on IPv6, is the kind of future we want to see being built. That’s why we are thrilled to support the upcoming IPv6 and #RPKI deployathon. We think, that every engineer who could, should be in that room. And so, INX-ZA is doing something about it! 💪 We're offering to cover travel and accommodation costs for up to 5 participants who want to attend the upcoming AFRINIC-The Regional Internet Registry for Africa IPv6 Deployathon, but can't justify the cost. If #AFRINIC approves you for the program and finances are the only thing standing in your way, well, that should no longer be the case. Here's how this works: 1️⃣ you apply to AFRINIC-The Regional Internet Registry for Africa through their normal process; indicate if you need financial assistance Secure your place today: https://lnkd.in/diBnePcC 2️⃣ #AFRINIC decides if you make the cut for the class; this is after all, merit based acceptance. 3️⃣ if you're approved and applied for financial support, #AFRINIC will hand over your application to #INXZA, and we’ll call you up, if you’re one of the successful candidates 4️⃣ #INXZA will cover the reasonable travel and accommodation costs of five applicants that need support. No complicated process. no strings attached, and (this time) open to anyone in #SouthAfrica. Just a community-run IX doing what community-run organisations should do. 🤝 Africa's digital future runs on IPv6. the engineers who build it deserve the chance to show up. If you're interested, or know someone who should apply, then have them complete the application asap! #INXZA #CommunityIX #PeeringForABetterInternet #SouthAfricaIXP

A great question to be asked and answered now. Your website has a data API sitting in the open and now just about every AI Agent has the capability to just use it directly. You even supplied the code on your website as well. Are you prepared for that? Digital Directors ANZ https://lnkd.in/g-TdkBfH

The Right to Be Forgotten by AI: Who Owns Human Knowledge in the Age of Foundation Models? Excited to share that Uzair Farooqi and I are organizing a hybrid panel discussion at APrIGF exploring the evolving questions around AI, human knowledge, ownership, and digital rights. As AI systems increasingly learn from human-created knowledge, one question stands out: Can human knowledge ever truly be forgotten by AI and who gets to decide? We warmly invite everyone to join us onsite or online, bring your perspectives, and contribute to the conversation. Session link will be shared soon. Looking forward to hearing diverse perspectives and having an engaging discussion at APrIGF!

Our Digital Governance Masterclass took another step forward this week. Across two sessions, our pilot cohort engaged in conversation, working through the case study and scenarios, providing feedback and sharing their experiences. At Digital Directors ANZ, we are focused on making the theory practical - offering engaging workshop environments, facilitated by experts, with case studies, real-world examples and peer-led discussions. Attendees leave with a deeper understanding, the benefit of working through difficult scenarios and the real insights that only come from experience. This learning can immediately be applied to current board matters and prepared learners for future challenges. The course will launch in late 2026 - expressions of interest are now open at https://lnkd.in/g6_3EYQT Thanks go to Jason Wilk and Dunja Lewis for all their hard work in bringing this to life!
