🌾 From Hackathon Code to Real-World Horsepower 🚜 Three months ago, participants at HackHPI tackled CLAAS's "Autonomy in the Fields" computer vision challenge. Last week, the story came full circle. CLAAS invited our challenge participants and organisation team to their headquarters in Harsewinkel and to CLAAS E-Systems in Dissen. Two days, full immersion. Highlights from the trip: 🏭 Behind the Scenes: A factory tour showcasing manufacturing and product innovation 🚜 Hands-On Tech: Experiencing massive semi-autonomous tractors in motion firsthand 💬 Future Outlook: Deep discussions with Claas experts on where smart agriculture is heading A massive thank you to Friederike Ruwisch, Jannik Redenius and everyone at CLAAS who went above and beyond to support the next generation of tech talent and give our participants a true look into the future of Agri-Tech! This is what building real-world solutions looks like. Want to be part of the next story? Stay tuned - HackHPI27 is coming, and we'd love for you to join us. #HackHPI #Agritech #CLAAS #SmartFarming #Hackathon #TechTalent #Autonomy

🏆Meet the HackHPI26 Winners🏆 Challenge #1 was presented by Cula Technologies🌎, “Make Carbon Removal Understandable": Transparently preparing complex data on CO₂ removal for end users. Congratulations to the team “Cula Carbon Verifier” who created an intuitive interface that structures and visualizes CO2 removal data which is often highly complex. Well done to Annalena Schnabel, Erin Sommer, Jonas Ullmann Kian van der Meer, and Tom Schroeter for winning the Cula Challenge! Challenge #2 presented by Claas🚜🌾, “Autonomy in the Fields – Life Saving Computer Vision" AI models for people detection in difficult terrain for safe autonomous machines. Congratulations to the team “traKtoros” who created a hybrid AI approach. Local sensors on the tractor instantly detect obstacles and initiate emergency actions while remote AI is simultaneously analyzing the situation more precisely. Well done to Erik Henicke, Hannes Spitz, Moritz Seppelt, Paul Adam, and Philip Rothenbeck for winning the Claas Challenge! Challenge #3 the open challenge - Free Innovations in Agricultural and Climate Technology🧑🌾🚜. Congratulations to “agrar.io” for developing a platform to solve the €400 million in EU climate subsidies that go to waste due to the extremely bureaucratic application process. Their platform directly links farm data and automates the complex subsidy system. The motto: Farmers should have to be experts to operate sustainably and profitably. Well done to Conrad Halle, Lucas Reisener, Luise Garberding, Milan Ferus-Comelo, and Smilla Fox for winning the Open Challenge! Meme Challenge - Congratulations to Constantin Schreyer!🎉
