  • ✅ "Software and robotics as growth engines for intralogistics." Thats a key finding from IoT Analytics latest market analysis, and it aligns closely with KUKAs vision of intelligent automation. Reflecting on last weeks KUKA Logistics Days in Augsburg, our Key Account Manager Peter Hofstetter highlights the opportunity to connect and orchestrate automation systems, using data & AI to improve warehouse performance. This is where Device Insight contributes as the Data & AI Unit within the KUKA Group: helping unlock the value of data, detect anomalies, and optimize warehouse and service operations. #DrivingIndustrialIntelligence

Intralogistics is a $96 billion market. The fastest growth is not in automation hardware. IoT Analytics sizes the market at $96B in 2025, growing at 6.7% CAGR to about $133B by 2030. Two segments grow much faster: mobile robots (~14% CAGR, $4.3B to $8.4B) and software (11.4% CAGR, $6.3B to $10.8B). The driver behind both is mainly labor. Staff shortages top the pain-point list in their 30+ interviews, with turnover of 200–300% in picking-heavy operations. (https://lnkd.in/euTnt375) Last Wednesday at the KUKA Group Logistic Days in Augsburg, I saw the same picture in practice. The sessions and demos covered AMRs for material supply, automated palletizing, vision and AI applications, and cold-storage logistics. The questions from logistic operators and system integrators were consistent: how can we use Data & AI and automation to raise productivity, and stay flexible when demand shifts? My takeaway: Robots, AMMRs and warehouse automation is becoming more and more important, but software decides how well they work together. Operators increasingly run fleets from several vendors and expect them to interoperate and therefore moves the value into orchestration. Further Data & AI helps to analyze anomalies, predicts necessary maintenance, and optimizes warehouse and service processes. That is exactly where we at Device Insight work with our partners in the KUKA Group. In our break-out session "AI in the warehouse" I showed real use cases of how Data & AI can detect anomalies, send an alarm before a machine breaks, increase first time fix rate, and improve the ticket handling process. Thank you to KUKA, Swisslog and everyone else who made these two days so valuable. How are you using Data & AI in your warehouse today? #Intralogistics #MobileRobotics #AI #SmartFactory #IndustrialIoT

A new era of automation is beginning. Rising complexity, labor shortages and sustainability goals demand solutions that are intelligent, connected and simple to implement.   At KUKA Group, we define this vision as Automation 2.0. It brings together industrial automation, logistics and healthcare with software, AI and digital technologies – creating end-to-end solutions for modern value chains on the way to adapt Physical AI in real world environments.   Together with KUKA, Swisslog, Swisslog Healthcare, Device Insight and Visual Components, we help customers in planning, simulating, automating and improving workflows across manufacturing, logistics and healthcare.   Learn more about Automation 2.0: https://lnkd.in/ekrZnn6A

  • For IT leaders, a modernization roadmap is rarely just about technology. It has to make sense as a business case. If you want to make the case for a new data platform, you need more than a technical target architecture. You need TCO comparisons, payback periods, references from comparable industrial environments and a clear answer to one question: why now, and not in two years? That is why our Executive Guide captures what we have learned in Industrial AI and modernization projects. Inside, we cover: • The financial case for moving from VMware • The architecture behind AI-ready data platforms • Pragmatic modernization without a mega program • Real project numbers, including 70 percent OPEX reduction in renewable energy Building the case for your next modernization step? Halftime at AMB 2026 🤝 Day 3 at AMB - Internationale Ausstellung für Metallbearbeitung together with our parent company KUKA, and the conversations at our booth have been exactly what we hoped for: production and service leaders from the metalworking industry digging into the topics that matter on their shopfloors right now. How do we build a solid data foundation across a heterogeneous machine park? Where does predictive maintenance pay off first? And what can agentic AI realistically take off a service team's plate? If these questions sound familiar, stop by for a chat, a demo, or both. We're looking forward to meeting you! 📍 You'll find us in Hall 6, Booth C51 - until Saturday, September 19. Many companies are eager to scale AI, but too often, initiatives stall because the underlying IT and data landscape is not ready. As our latest KUKA iiMagazine article highlights, true AI readiness is not achieved by simply adding new AI tools. It requires a modern, connected, and scalable IT architecture that can turn data into actionable insights. At KUKA Group, we see this as a key enabler of Automation 2.0 and the next generation of Physical AI. Intelligent automation depends on the seamless integration of data, software, machines, and AI. Modernizing IT infrastructures and breaking down data silos creates the foundation for more adaptive, autonomous, and efficient industrial operations. Before AI can deliver its full potential, organizations need an AI-ready digital backbone. • Today, 11 September 2026, the reporting obligations under the EU Cyber Resilience Act take effect. Manufacturers of connected products with digital elements must now report actively exploited vulnerabilities within 24 hours and severe incidents within 72 hours - a hard operational deadline, not just a legal one. For manufacturers of IoT devices, machinery, and other connected products, meeting that deadline requires more than good intentions: it takes the right processes, tooling, and monitoring in place before an incident happens. That's why we've built a structured offering to get you there: from assessment and gap analysis, through implementation of SBOMs, vulnerability management, and OTA updates, to fully managed ongoing monitoring and compliance reporting. Together with our partner activeMind AG and activeMind.legal Rechtsanwälte, we combine legal expertise with technical implementation - compliance guidance and execution from a single source. Let's turn CRA compliance from a tedious obligation into a competitive advantage. Learn more about our offering 👉 https://lnkd.in/ehDafBiu #CyberResilienceAct #CRA #Cybersecurity

Enterprise AI projects mostly fail because the data landscape is not ready for production. For Data and Platform leaders, this is the real starting point. Industrial data platforms have grown over years. OT data sits on the shopfloor, ERP data in the data center, quality data in Excel. So every new AI use case starts with the same questions: Where is the right data? And can we use it safely? That is why AI readiness is not a tool question. It is a question of architecture, governance and repeatability. In our projects, we build AI-ready foundations that support every use case that comes next, not just the first pilot. Want to know where your IT and data landscape stands today? Use our Modernization Scorecard for a quick assessment across five dimensions, from legacy risk to the data platform.
