  • In embedded development, a few kilobytes can decide whether the firmware still fits on the target. Yet binary size is rarely tracked as closely as test coverage or findings. With Teamscale 2026.7, teamscale-build extracts binary size and memory footprint metrics from ELF binaries built with gcc or clang. It reads the linker map file and the dwarfdump output your build already produces. The results arrive in Teamscale as two predefined metrics, Binary Size and Memory Footprint. That puts them where your other quality data already lives: tracked over time and visible on dashboards next to findings and test coverage. The difference is when you notice. Instead of learning at integration time that the image grew past the flash budget, you see the trend while there is still time to act on it. How does your team track binary size today: a script in CI, a spreadsheet, or not at all?

  • Does the expensive model actually write better review comments? Now you can check. In Teamscale, developers can rate every agentic review comment in Teamscale: Very helpful, Helpful, or Not helpful. Teamscale 2026.7 puts those ratings to work. The new Agent Benchmark view reports quality of the comments (precision and recall) and cost per agent and model, based on the reviews your agents have already produced. Compare agent and model combinations side by side to decide which agents stay linked to a project, and whether a cheaper model reviews just as well. That second question matters once reviews run on every merge request. A public benchmark tells you how a model does on someone else's code. This one tells you how it does on yours, judged by the people who read the comments. We also extended the list of Git platforms that allow the direct triggering of an agentic review. Besides Gitlab, also users of Bitbucket Data Center or GitHub can now request a review by posting "/teamscale review" on a pull request. Results come back as inline comments or as a Code Insights report. For other platforms, you can still start the review using the Teamscale UI. How do you decide whether an AI tool in your pipeline is worth keeping?

  • Reviewing a draft is easier than facing an empty canvas. That holds for architecture specifications too. Deciding on components, mapping code to them, and specifying which dependencies are allowed, is often not as trivial as it seems at first. Actually, this is where a lot of architecture initiatives stall, and the analysis never runs. Teamscale 2026.7 writes the first draft for you. It proposes an architecture inferred from the code and existing dependencies. You choose whether it generates only the component structure or also the allowed and forbidden dependency policies between components. Add hints in free text, for example which layers should stay separate, and the AI takes them into account. Architectures change. The new AI Architecture refinement takes a plain language description of what you want changed, applies it to the current model, and summarizes what it changed. What you get is a proposal. How the system should be structured is still your call. But reviewing a draft is often much faster than starting from an empty canvas, and once the specification exists, Teamscale checks every change against it. Is there an architecture document in your team that nobody has updated in years?

  • Teamscale 2026.7 is out. Now you no longer have to write an architecture specification by hand before Teamscale can check your code against it. AI architecture modeling Teamscale proposes an architecture for a project, inferred from its code and existing dependencies. Generate only the component structure, or also the allowed and forbidden dependencies. Use text hints to steer the result. You can even drive changes and architecture refinement using a single prompt. Agentic reviews The new Agent Benchmark view reports review quality (my means of precision and recall metrics) and cost per review agent and model, based on your developers' ratings. Additionally, we added the capability to trigger reviews with "/teamscale review" also for Bitbucket and Github. Software Composition Analysis Teamscale now allows uploading CycloneDX and SPDX reports from tools like Sonatype Nexus via API. Performance A storage engine upgrade shrinks the database on disk for most installations and makes project analysis up to 25% faster. Full changelog: https://tmscl.me/4AzEJ5I

Sei dabei!
