In its latest Transparency Report, Chronicle features Centrifuge on what it takes to represent a fund properly once it moves onchain. JAAA and JTRSY, managed by Janus Henderson, hold assets that live in offchain records: AAA-rated CLOs for JAAA, short-term US Treasuries for JTRSY. Each fund's positions, their weights and the portfolio's diversification are all recorded offchain first. The report finds that only 29.2% of the tokenized asset value it analyzed has independently verifiable holdings data onchain. Smart contracts can only underwrite what they can read onchain. Chronicle Proof of Asset is covering that data layer for assets on Centrifuge. Bringing a fund onchain properly means bringing its holdings data too.
