I was not expecting this book to go this hard. I have a very iffy relationship when it comes to Entangled and their imprints, but this is one of the good ones. Really cool magical system especially for a debut and I am a sucker for (view spoiler)[ "come back to me" endings. (hide spoiler)]

I was rather impressed with this one! This was a unique magic system, which I always like, especially for a standalone. I'm not usually a fan of open ended conclusions, so it wasn't quite a five star.

I had to DNF it. Sorry, the premise of this book didn’t really catch me.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. I thought the premise was good and so were the relationships, but I also just didn't go crazy for it. I can't really pinpoint why, but it just wasn't fully my jam.
